The best nights sleep I’d had in ages! I usually can’t sleep after an orchestra rehearsal I find my body is still in playing mode and usually end up lying in bed mentally repeating the session I just had until the wee small hours. I have worked for global multinationals and now run my own small business – both are really stressy. These relaxation techniques I developed helped me in both situations.

I have had loads of problems sleeping, and so have a lot of the people who have the system – the last track of the audio download is specifically to help you sleep.

I have fortunately never suffered with anxiety. A very close friend of mine has, and he uses the download. When he first suffered with anxiety, he developed his own way of handling it, and the relaxation techniques he used for anxiety are very similar to mine. You talk about a noisy mind – don’t we all have this.

Some people are worse than others. I’m not talking about the ‘internal voice’ we all hear (the one you hear right now whilst you are reading this). I’m on about the non-stop thinking that goes on, round and round inside your head…that gets louder and louder, and becomes a pressure inside – and the more you think, the worse things feel. That’s what I mean by a noisy mind.

What are the key causes?

This is very difficult to answer and I don’t think there is a single explanation. In my opinion (and it is just my opinion but lots of people agree with this), it is all about control – meaning being in control.
If you work for a boss, usually they are in control of decisions and somewhere along the line you have to do what they say. That means that you don’t have control over what is happening to you.
If you work for yourself, or run your own business, then you may have more control over what you do and what you decide, but if you are relying on customers to make the decision, then this can be a pressure in itself.
You may be buying your own home or car, and need to borrow money from the bank – anyone who has ever done this will tell you that when they are waiting for the bank’s decision to lend you the money (or not), there is a high level of apprehension. As soon as you have the money, you are then under pressure to pay it back. Again, part of you is out of control.

These are just a few ways to demonstrate what I mean – everything is different for everybody and we all have our own tolerances and ways of handling this. What most people can’t do is control how they feel and relax effectively…I was in that situation which is why I developed my own systems.

You said you developed these relaxation techniques. Can we trust them and do they work?

I believe you can trust them – they aren’t some mumbo-jumbo I just created; I actually studied these, practiced them, worked with people using them, and on myself.
When someone asks me if they work, well I can’t give any guarantees – this is why I put the short sample of the site. If someone says to me that they think they won’t work, I say that they should not even try them then as they have already made the decision. All of the people who have sent me their feedback have come at this with an open mind and a wish to relax, refresh and refocus.

This isn’t possible I’m afraid. If it was a physical CD, then we could accept returns for unused products. As it is a download, then it is not possible to return the product unused (and again, this is why I provide the short sample).
